SEO Work Report

What we fixed, when, and why it matters. Every change is live and was verified against the real site the day it shipped.

Sprint 1 repaired the invisible layer. Invalid data was locking every product out of Google Shopping free listings. Now valid site-wide, confirmed by Google's own testing tool.

Sprint 2 repaired the visible layer. Your key pages introduced themselves by brand name only. They now target what customers actually search: scalp care, hair oil treatments, scalp massagers.

Sprint 3 added the finishing enhancements. Breadcrumb trails in your listings, FAQ answers readable by AI, and reliable star-ratings — all live and verified.

Every completed change is verified live the day it ships. An automated check re-verifies daily.

1Sprint 1: Schema Correctness Complete

Fixed the machine-readable data Google reads on every page. Completed and validated 1 July 2026.

Fix 1 · Product data was invalid on every product page

Before Insecure protocol, broken references, and two fields Google requires for Shopping were missing entirely: "@context": "http://schema.org/" "@id": "/products/scalp-mask" (no return policy, no shipping info)
After Valid, complete, and secure on every product: "@context": "https://schema.org" "@id": "https://mynajeau.com/products/..." + shippingDetails ($9.95, 1-3 days) + return policy (set at account level)

Fix 2 · Blog article data was firing but useless

BeforeThe insecure protocol invalidated the entire block, the article image pointed to the wrong object, and the page reference pointed at the homepage instead of the article.
AfterEvery post declares a valid Article with author, date, headline, image, and publisher, all linked to the NAJEAU brand entity.

Why: every post credits Nina Kairouz or Ava Alexis. Google and AI search engines can now read that authorship, the expertise signal this category depends on.

Fix 3 · Your brand identity was duplicated and polluted on every page

BeforeTwo competing brand declarations per page, one with an insecure protocol and five empty social profile slots:

AfterOne clean brand entity per page, secure protocol, linked to your real Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest profiles.

Why: Google builds its picture of who NAJEAU is from this data. A fragmented, half-empty identity weakens every other signal.

Fix 4 · A misspelled URL was in your sitemap

2Sprint 2: On-Page Copy Complete

Rewrote how your most valuable pages present themselves to Google. Published and verified 2 July 2026.

Fix 6 · Ten collection pages introduced themselves by brand name only

Titles carried no search term (default pattern: "Scalp Care – NAJEAU"); descriptions were empty, so Google assembled snippets from stray page text. All ten now have keyword-targeted titles and written descriptions. In a Google result:

BeforeThe homepage meta description was brand-story copy that never named what customers actually search for.
AfterA benefit-led description leading with the searched terms:
Founder-formulated scalp and hair oil treatments built on single-origin Qadisha Valley olive oil. Nourish your scalp, support healthy hair growth. Shop NAJEAU.

Why: the title and description are what a searcher sees and clicks in Google. The title already targeted the right terms, so it was left as is; the description now matches, giving the homepage one consistent, search-aligned listing. Saved in the store's SEO settings and verified; live in Google within normal recrawl.

3Sprint 3: Structured Data Enhancements Complete

Fix 8 · Breadcrumb trails for your search listings

Product & collection pages · Fixed 3 July 2026
BeforeProduct and collection pages carried no breadcrumb markup, so Google couldn't show the navigation trail beneath your listing or fully read how your catalog is organized.
AfterEvery product and collection page declares a valid trail:

Why: breadcrumbs still earn a live Google rich result, the clickable path shown under your search listing, and they help Google and AI tools understand your site structure. A clean, high-trust upgrade to how your results look.

Fix 9 · FAQ page readable by AI answer engines

BeforeThe FAQ page's questions and answers weren't marked up for machines to read.
AfterFAQ structured data now renders across all 18 questions, mirroring the visible answers word for word.

Why: the value here is AI answer engines and brand understanding, not a Google rich result (Google retired those in May 2026). It makes NAJEAU's answers easy for AI assistants to quote and reinforces what the brand is known for. Honest note: we won't present this as a Google rich-result win, because it no longer is one.

Fix 10 · Product star-ratings made reliable

BeforeStar ratings are added by JavaScript after the page loads, which is fragile, so search engines can miss them and the stars can quietly disappear from your results.
AfterRatings written directly into the product data Google already reads, so they render reliably every time.

Why: star ratings in search results lift click-through significantly; hardening them protects a high-value visual asset from vanishing after a theme or app update. Now live: your reviews app already stores the rating behind the scenes, so it's written straight into the product data Google reads — a 4.9 rating across 56 reviews, confirmed valid in Google's Rich Results Test.

Sprint 3 close · Validation

Verified 3 July 2026

All three additions are live and validated: Google's Rich Results Test returns 3 valid items on the product page (Product, Merchant listing, and Review snippet), and a full live-page QA sweep confirmed breadcrumbs, FAQ, and ratings render with zero errors.

Appendix A · Collection pages, complete before and afterclick to expand

"Before" = the default Shopify pattern: collection name + brand, no search term, no description.

Note: all changes were made only in each collection's "Search engine listing" fields. Collection names, product listings, and everything customers see on the site are untouched.

Why each title: search phrase first, NAJEAU last, under Google's ~60-character limit, one search theme per page. The last column shows the searches each page now matches.
